Ball-playing central defender Luca joined Avenue in the summer after leaving AFC Telford United, where he won the supporters’ Player of the Year award. He was a promising figure when coming through the ranks at then-League One side Stockport County, but left amongst the financial troubles at Edgeley Park. Having spent time on loan at Radcliffe Borough and Ashton United, Havern joined Mansfield Town upon his release, but then rejoined Stockport the following summer. Spells at Mossley and Ashton followed before he moved to Hyde, where he was an influential part of the 2011-12 Conference North winning side. However he then joined Altrincham where, after two seasons, he once again earned promotion to non-league’s top flight. Havern was a prominent figure at Moss Lane for another two years, before joining Telford last year, where he was made club captain.
