Bradford (Park Avenue) is delighted to announce the loan extension of Sam Straughan-Brown from Doncaster Rovers and the loan signing of Josh Eccles from Fleetwood Town.
Sam Straughan-Brown, who first signed with Bradford (Park Avenue) in December, has extended his loan from Doncaster Rovers for an additional month.
The 18-year-old midfielder, hailing from Retford, has been with Doncaster since the Under-9 level and is highly regarded for his potential. He made his senior debut for Doncaster in an EFL Cup match against Everton in August 2023 and signed his first professional contract in October of that year, with manager Grant McCann praising him as one of the best young players he has worked with.
Sam also made his League Two debut on New Year’s Day 2024 in a 3-0 victory over Milton Keynes Dons. Having already begun to impress during his initial spell, he will continue to gain valuable experience with Bradford (Park Avenue) over the next month.
Meanwhile, Josh Eccles joins on a month-long loan from Fleetwood Town, where he has been a key figure in the club’s Academy since his Under-12 days. Standing at an impressive 6ft 3′, the Ramsbottom-born centre half brings a commanding presence to the back line.
With over four years at Fleetwood Town, Josh offers versatility, and is capable of playing on either the left or right side of defence.
Bradford (Park Avenue) looks forward to seeing the contributions of these promising prospects over the next few weeks.
