The Club are delighted to announce the signing of centre-back Rudy Misambo, subject to FA and league approval.
Misambo, 31, will add physicality, strength and pace to the Avenue defence, following his release from Northern Premier League – Premier Division outfit; FC United of Manchester.
The towering 6ft 4 defender made 49 appearances for the Reds, scoring one goal and was part of the squad that reached the Playoffs during the 2025-26 season.
Born in the Midlands, the centre-back joined FC United of Manchester from Farsley Celtic and has previous experience with Lancaster City, Hednesford Town, Redditch United, Prestwich Heys and Northwich Victoria.
Speaking on joining the Green Army, Misambo can’t wait to pull on the Bradford shirt:
“I’m very excited to join BPA. I’m on board with the ambitions of the Club and can’t wait to get going. From the conversations I’ve had with people, we’re aligned with what we want to achieve. I’m a very competitive individual, big, strong and pacy and I’m all about clean sheets. I love defending and keeping the ball out of the net. Title challenges are built on strong defences. I’m relishing the challenge of being in a team that everyone wants to beat. I thrive on that pressure. I can’t wait to meet the fans and hopefully be part of a group that has a successful season.”
Bradford’s manager Craig Elliott can’t wait to see Misambo at the Horsfall Community Stadium:
“Rudy has been on my radar for a while. Sometimes during last season, we lacked a bit of size and aerial power and this is why I’ve brought Rudy in. He’s a front-footed defender that will add much needed aggression to the team and he comes here after a strong season with FC United of Manchester.”
