The Board are pleased to announce that over £11,000 has now been contributed to the players fund to date.

The club would like to place on record our thanks to all those that have contributed.

With the announcement on Friday that Mark Bower has moved to bring in 21 year old French national Antoine Remi Recizac and hopefully further recruits on the way. All funds raised are vital and will enable both Mark and Danny to strengthen the squad and continue in the push for the playoffs.

Any fans who are prepared to donate please email Dave Stordy (davestordy@hotmail.co.uk) or telephone on (01274-512989) with your offer and Dave will contact you to make the arrangements.

Don’t worry if you cannot afford a regular donation, we will have a bucket in the Club Shop at home games.

Thank you for your continued support.

Following the injury to Wayne Brooksby, the manager has moved swiftly to add to the squad. 21 yr old French national Antoine Remi Recizac has been training with the team for a number of weeks but he has now been registered to play.

He is currently studying at Leeds Trinity University but has previous experience 2 yrs ago playing in the North-West Counties League with Widnes and also in Stockport County’s reserve team. The Manager states ‘Antoine has looked good in training and deserves the chance to see if he can step up and show us what he can do in a League match’.

Academy game abandoned at half time due to serious injury.

Yesterday’s academy game was abandoned due to a serious injury to BPA scholar Joshua Hall, after an unintentional two footed tackle. Tally Clayton (Club Sport Rehabilitator) attended to Josh on the pitch before paramedics arrived. Josh was taken to hospital by the Doncaster ambulance service with a possible fracture of the ankle. Tally attended hospital with Josh and was happy to report after seeing a number of doctors, no fracture was found. However, Josh has suffered some nerve damage from the impact and currently can not feel the lower portion of his foot and toes. This should return to Josh in a couple of days and he will then be able to start his rehabilitation with Tally. Both Josh and the Academy staff team would like to thank Campsmount College staff for their assistance in the incident and from all at the club we wish Josh a speedy recovery.

Gaffers Notes: Bradford Park Avenue Vs Gainsborough Trinity Saturday 20th January 2018

We’re in a little sticky patch at the moment having taken just one point from the last three games and the test of how good we are, is how we respond. Every team has ups and downs through the season, Salford took two points from four games over Christmas, but have since won their last two games, so we won’t get carried away. In two of the three games, we played well and we know that if we can maintain a consistent level of performance results over the longer term will come good.

We are working hard behind the scenes to strengthen the squad. Injuries to Mark Ross and Wayne Brooksby last weekend have left us low on numbers, but as a manager I’ve never spent money for the sake of it. We’ll make sure we bring the right characters in to the club, who will improve the team and fit in to the dressing room. If that means being patient and waiting for the right ones, that’s what we’ll do.

This weekend we welcome Dave Frecklington and his Gainsborough Trinity team. Gainsborough have had an up and down season and currently sit in the relegation places but with games in hand could easily be up in mid table, so we will not be underestimating them. They have spent a few quid as the season has progressed and they have some talented and experienced players at this level, so as I seem to say every week, we must be on top of our game to get a result.

Enjoy the match

Mark
