The 21 year old from Oxford returns to English football after 4 years at Concordia University where he captained the first team during its most successful period to date.
Bennett also appeared for the St Louis Lions in the PDL heartland conference in the US and most recently the Nebraska Bugeaters in the Great Plains Premier League. He joins Bradford (Park Avenue) having impressed on trial during pre-season and friendlies against Rotherham Utd and Brighouse Town.
Garry Thompson said of Bennett’s signing :
“Jack has shown the right attitude and application to pre-season that we were looking for across the board. He has worked well with Charlie (Andrew) and they are both pushing each other well over this demanding pre-season schedule”
Thompson continued :
“When given the opportunity and game time against some quality opponents at a new level for Jack, he has shown us enough to warrant the chance and I’m looking forward to him further developing.”
Jack Bennett commented:
