Bradford (Park Avenue) are delighted to confirm the signing of experienced central defender Jameel Ible, who joins the club following a strong three-year spell with Guiseley.
The Leeds-born defender brings a wealth of experience and a commanding presence to the Horsfall backline. A product of Stockport County’s youth system, Ible began his senior career in 2011 and has since featured for clubs including Salford City, York City, Frickley Athletic, Scarborough Athletic, Pontefract Collieries, and Whitby Town.
He returned to Guiseley in 2022 and became a key figure at the heart of their defence. Across three seasons, Ible made 124 appearances and contributed 14 goals — an impressive return for a centre-back. That run included 43 appearances and 3 goals in 2022/23, followed by 6 goals in 41 appearances during the 2023/24 campaign. Last season, he added a further 40 appearances and 5 goals.
Manager Craig Elliott was clear about his intentions once the opportunity arose:
“When I heard Jameel could be available, I was determined to bring him to BPA. He is a proven player at higher levels — a consistent and experienced centre-back that ticked all the boxes for us.
Similar to Prince, he played a big part at Guiseley last season. I am so happy we managed to get him over the line and I have no doubt he will be a big player for us next season.”
Ible becomes the latest addition to Elliott’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, as preparations continue to build momentum for the new season.
