Fresh from reaffirming their promotion credentials,
Bradford (Park Avenue) return to action this Saturday hoping to pick up
where they left off for the visit of Curzon Ashton to the Horsfall Stadium.
Jake Beesley grabbed a brace as Mark Bower’s side stopped
the rot against Chester last Saturday afternoon and the manager said he was
“really pleased for the boys, who deserved the win”.
Nicky Clee came off as a precaution due to a tight groin,
and he could be back for the weekend, as well as Oli Johnson who missed the
victory last week with an injury.
Curzon cross the penines fresh from a 6-0 thrashing at the
hands of Altrincham last weekend and inevitebly will be looking to put that
right on their visit to Yorkshire at the beginning of March.
Our visitors still have an outside chance of reaching the playoffs
at the end of the season, as they sit eight points outside of the last play-off
spot, a tally bettered by Avenue.
Prior to the previous two games which have both ended in
defeat, Curzon went on a seven match unbeaten run which propelled them well up
the table, as their start to the year contrasted Bradford’s immensely.
The reverse fixture in November ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with Beesley etching his name on the score sheet for Mark Bower’s side, who will hope to go one better this time.
