Bradford (Park Avenue) will be looking to kick 2019 off in style with a second win over Guiseley in just under a week.
Mark Bower enjoyed his return to Nethermoor on Boxing Day, watching on as a side containing several former Lions dismantled the hosts.
Bradford head into the new year as the league leaders and haven’t succumbed to defeat in the Vanarama National League North since October.
Guiseley have struggled to find consistency since returning to step six but picked up a valuable point on Saturday against Altrincham.
Defender Gianluca Havern was dismissed in the reverse fixture but will be available as his suspension won’t come into effect until the trip to Stockport County on 5th January. Ben McKenna will be pushing for a recall to the starting eleven after his stoppage-time equaliser salvaged a point against Boston United but faces stiff competition.
In This Weeks Programme:
Bradford forward Lewis Knight recalls a memorable goal and reveals a high-profile former teammate.
Tale’s From The Horton End:
Regular columnist Paul Town interviews Avenue fan of 76 years, Malcolm Hirst. Malcolm was at all 3 of the memorable games versus Manchester United in 1949, and was part of the 82,771 crowd at Maine Road.
In a long-awaited initiative, the club is installing a rectangular pitch side fence around the Horsfall Stadium playing surface this January.
Proud of the unique offering and ability for supporters of all ages to enjoy non-league football at Horsfall over the years, Bradford (Park Avenue) are bringing the crowd closer to the action in a move that will enhance everything that is good about a Saturday afternoon cheering on a team battling against the odds week in week out.
This limited time campaign combines a unique package of Pitchside advertising for business with match tickets and event space hire and we hope to see the businesses of Bradford join our current pitch board sponsors on the new perimeter fence up close and personal to the action in 2019!
