Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC has a role and responsibility to promote, support, and safeguard children’s wellbeing. Ensuring a child’s wellbeing includes celebrating their successes, understanding their circumstances, and forming positive relationships.

To effectively respond when a child needs help or support, it is essential to understand their rights and the concept of wellbeing. We must also recognise the potential risks that children may face when participating in sports and activities and, therefore, implement safeguards to minimise these risks.

Having a clear understanding of these principles and the necessary processes in place is crucial if a child’s wellbeing or need for protection is identified as a concern. Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC can then respond appropriately, supporting any child who requires help and informing the relevant agencies and organisations.

Our policies, procedures, safeguards, and training provide us with the confidence and support needed to fulfil our role in keeping children safe.

If you have a concern about a child’s wellbeing at Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC, please contact us at safeguarding@bpafc.com. If you have an immediate concern for the safety of a child, please contact the Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
