Bradford (Park Avenue) return to league action om Saturday, looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season, when they welcome Garforth Town to the Horsfall Community Stadium for a West Yorkshire derby.
Having put their league campaign on hold last weekend due to their Emirates FA Cup commitments, the Avenue enter the weekend in third place, four points behind league leaders Liversedge, but with three games in hand on both of the sides above them.
The Green Army are in a jubilant mood after eliminating Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit Lancaster City from the Emirates FA Cup last weekend. A determined Luke Parkin goal secured a 1-0 victory, making Bradford the only Northern Premier League East Division side remaining in the competition. Monday’s draw then handed Avenue a trip to Guiseley AFC in the next round, giving the Green Army an exciting local tie to look forward to as their Emirates FA Cup adventure continues.
Garforth Town arrive at the Horsfall Community Stadium without a win in their last five games in all competitions, but currently occupy the final playoff spot in 7th place, having made a strong start to the season with three wins from their opening four matches.
The Miners were left disappointed in midweek after surrendering a two-goal lead at home to Lincoln United. Jamie Barkway and Charlie Marshall had put Garforth in a commanding position, but a goal from Lincoln’s Rio Molyneaux before half time, followed by a 96th-minute equaliser from Liam Moran, saw the points shared. The Miners will be determined to get back to winning ways, having drawn their previous two matches.
The Green Army will have fond memories of their last home encounter with Garforth Town in November 2025. Louie Chorlton’s 77th-minute strike was enough to separate the two sides, ensuring all three points remained in Bradford. However, the reverse fixture was less kind to the Avenue, with the Miners threatening to derail Bradford’s play-off hopes at the BD Community Stadium in mid-March. Owen Marshall gave the hosts an early lead, and although Adam Haw restored parity, a second half double from Charlie Marshall condemned the visitors to defeat.
The Avenue will be looking to carry the momentum from their Emirates FA Cup victory into Saturday’s West Yorkshire derby as they return to league action. With both sides having plenty to play for, the local bragging rights will add extra spice to an already intriguing contest, as Bradford look to extend their unbeaten start and Garforth aim to end their recent run without a win. Another fiercely contested afternoon awaits at the Horsfall Community Stadium.

If a spectator is not a season ticket holder of a football club that fits within the criteria mentioned above and / or doesn’t provide proof of their season ticket at the turnstile, our admission prices remain the same

The stadium will be open from 1:30pm for fans to enjoy our facilities, including our new Len Shackleton Sports Bar and our clubhouse.
There’ll be discounts on selected drinks from 1pm – 2.30pm. Then, from 2.30pm, you can upgrade to a two-pinter and save £1 on full price. We encourage everyone to drink responsibly and people will be served, at the discretion of our friendly bar staff.
