Bradford (Park Avenue) will look to put their Emirates FA Cup exit behind them as they return to league action on Tuesday evening, welcoming Lincoln United to the Horsfall Community Stadium.

The Avenue are the only side in the Northern Premier League East Division yet to taste defeat this season, and will look to extend that unbeaten run against the Whites.

Bradford currently sit third in the league table, three points ahead of our visitors while having played two fewer matches. A welcome return to winning ways would see the Green Army climb to second, just one point behind the leaders, while still holding three games in hand.

The Avenue return to the Horsfall on the back of consecutive away fixtures last week. Last Tuesday, Craig Elliott’s side produced a gritty, determined performance to edge out fellow promotion hopefuls Matlock Town in Derbyshire, with Louie Chorlton’s second-half strike proving enough to secure a 1-0 victory and bring all three points back to West Yorkshire.

This was then followed by a trip to Guiseley in Emirates FA Cup action, where, despite a valiant effort, the Avenue fell to a 1-0 defeat and exited the competition at the Third Round Qualifying stage.

Lincoln United have also made a promising start to the campaign and currently sit fifth in the table, firmly in the play-off mix. The Whites had gone four league games unbeaten before their run was brought to an end last time out, with a 1-0 defeat away to Blyth Spartans.

Bradford will take confidence from their meetings with Lincoln United from last season. When the Whites visited the Horsfall Community Stadium in September 2025, a Marcus Carver brace and a Joe Ackroyd strike secured a convincing 3-0 victory for the Green Army.

In the reverse fixture at Lincoln in December, the Avenue looked set to complete the league double after Carver converted from the penalty spot to put his side ahead. However, a late Connor Brown strike deep into added time rescued a point for the hosts.

With both sides occupying positions among the early pace-setters in the Northern Premier League East Division, there is plenty at stake under the Horsfall lights on Tuesday evening. The Avenue will be keen to respond immediately following their FA Cup exit and maintain their unbeaten league record, while Lincoln United will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at Blyth Spartans and consolidate their play-off position.

With three points offering Bradford the chance to climb into second place, Craig Elliott’s side will be hoping to make home advantage count and continue their strong start to the league campaign.
