Our first pre-season friendly of 2026-27 will take place at home, as we host NCEL Premier Division outfit Sheffield FC on Monday 13 July, kick-off at 7.30pm.
The World’s Oldest Football Club, led by former Avenue assistant manager Vill Powell, will make the trip across the M1 and M62 to the Horsfall Community Stadium.
Our first opponents of the new campaign narrowly missed out on promotion, suffering defeat, on penalties, in the Playoff Semi Final to Ryan Qualter’s Tadcaster Albion.
Despite suffering relegation to the NCEL Premier Division, The Club finished the regular season in third position with 72 points from 38 games. Also, our visitors are likely to include the league’s top goalscorer Alexander Hardwick, who scored an impressive 34 goals in all competitions during 2025-26.
