Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Large as the club’s new Academy Director, strengthening the club’s commitment to developing its football pathway.
Craig joins Avenue with almost 25 years of experience in elite football, bringing a wealth of knowledge in player development, coach education and academy leadership. A UEFA A Licence holder with an Advanced Youth Award and an MSc in Sport Coaching, Craig has held a number of senior academy positions throughout his career, most recently serving as Head of Coach Development at Oldham Athletic, where he also spent time as Interim Academy Manager. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in developing young players, supporting coaching staff and creating high-performance environments focused on long-term success.
As Academy Director, Craig will oversee the continued growth of Bradford (Park Avenue)’s youth section, helping to establish a clear pathway for young players to develop and progress into senior football while building an environment that supports excellence on and off the pitch.
Speaking on his appointment, Craig said:
“I am delighted to be joining BPA as the new Academy Director. After speaking with Tom, I quickly realised this was a club I wanted to be part of — one where I could contribute immediately while also helping to build for the future. I aim to create a clear pathway for players to develop and progress. With nearly 25 years’ experience in elite football alongside my A Licence, Advanced Youth Award, and MSc in Sport Coaching, I am passionate about developing people, improving performance, and helping teams reach their full potential.”
