Bradford (Park Avenue) are delighted to announce a new partnership with local neighbours Bradford City AFC Women
The new partnership opens a strong pathway for both teams, with dual registrations and loan arrangements being an integral part of the partnership, allowing further development and experience for both teams. It will also provide Bradford’s female footballers with great opportunities in Semi Pro Football.
City Women will be using the Horsfall for their home fixtures, with the first being on 27th February v Norton & Stockton Ancients in the FA Women’s National League Division One North. It’s a “pay what you want” scheme for the match, with tickets for the clubs fundraising raffle available, and a first prize being a signed City Women’s shirt.
Club Secretary Calum Cullen had this to say on the partnership: “This is a brilliant agreement for both Bradford (Park Avenue) and Bradford City’s ladies sides.
We have been working on this deal for some time now, and throughout the talks I have been impressed with the professionalism and the planned progression of Bradford City Women’s.
The fact that they are keen to play here at the Horsfall shows what a great set up we have here, and myself, Neal (Asquith Ladies Manager), and the whole club are looking forward to seeing the partnership develop.”
City manager Chris Hames said;
“Horsfall is an historic ground that in recent years has undergone great development to become one of the primary facilities in the region, let alone Bradford. That mirrors our ambition, we want to reflect off the pitch the same ambitions we have on it, and take this club onwards.
“I’m looking forward to setting up a base here, creating a following here, and commencing this new chapter in the club’s progression”.

A massive congratulations to our u12s, u13s and u16s who went 4/4 in their games this weekend!
Both our u12 teams won, with the u12w taking home a 4-1 win away at Hepworth United, whilst the u12g team managed a 8-2 win at home! (A famous score line for any Avenue fan!)
The goals kept flowing for the u13w and the u16w sides! The u13s hitting 7 past Hepworth United in a 7-4 win, and the u16s bagging 6 against Warley Rangers without reply!
The league tables don’t look too bad either!

We can confirm tonight that Luke Rawson has joined Sheffield FC on a months loan.
Good luck Luke!
We are delighted to announce, subject to FA approval, the return of striker Lewis Knight to the Horsfall after beating clubs from our division and above to his signature.
Lewis, who bagged 11 goals in 15 games last season, joins on a loan deal to the end of the season.
Speaking on his return, Lewis said: I am buzzing to be back here, it’s a really good environment to play football in. I’m looking forward to playing for Mark and Danny again, and being back involved with all the lads. If you look at the table, we are only 10 points from the play-offs, so hopefully I can help push us towards them!
A delighted Mark Bower added: We are really delighted that Lewis has decided to re-join us. He had several other options available to him, but knows how well he will be looked after and how we will get the best out of him at Bradford (Park Avenue). We are really looking forward to getting him started, he has just come back from injury, so we will be careful with him over the next few weeks. We hope this signing shows that we are ambitious, and we are looking to climb that table as far we can this season
Welcome back Lewis!

We are delighted to announce the double capture of Harrison Hopper and Sam Fielding on 18 month deals from York City.
Both players offer the club greater strength and depth in the spine of our team, Harrison is an out and out Midfielder, whilst Sam can play in a defensive Midfield role or at Centre Half.
Speaking on the signings, Mark Bower said:- “We are delighted to get these two players in, we have been looking to strengthen our playing staff, and so getting these two in on long term deals is fantastic news for the Football Club”
We would also like to say a huge thank you to the Development Fund, without their amazing and continued support of the Club, these permanent transfers would not have been possible for us to contemplate let alone conclude.
Will Harrison and Sam feature in todays game? Team news this afternoon!
