Bradford (Park Avenue) are delighted to announce the signing of striker Luke Parkin ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The 29-year-old attacker brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the Avenue ranks, having enjoyed a well-travelled and successful non-league career. Parkin began his footballing journey with Leeds United, joining the academy at the age of six and progressing through the ranks to feature for their U21s side.

After leaving Leeds, he had a short spell with Guiseley before a notable four-year stint with Farsley Celtic, where he became a key figure in their forward line. In 2023, he moved on to Silsden, then had a brief spell with Rylands, before joining Emley AFC for the 2024/25 season.

At Emley, Parkin impressed with both his consistency and attacking threat, making 44 appearances and netting 12 goals across all competitions.

Now, he arrives at the Horsfall Community Stadium, signing a deal that will keep him with Bradford (Park Avenue) through the 2025/26 season.

Manager Craig Elliott was pleased to secure Parkin’s signature, saying:

“Luke is a very clever technical player who will bring assists and goals to our team. I thought last season he was superb for a strong Emley team. He has good experience at higher level and I am really happy he wanted to come to BPA.”

Bradford (Park Avenue) are delighted to announce the signing of experienced forward Marcus Carver, who joins the club on a deal running until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Carver brings a wealth of experience to Horsfall Community Stadium, having played in the EFL and National League system. With over 300 senior appearances to his name and a proven track record at clubs including Accrington Stanley, Chorley, Southport, and Scunthorpe United, Marcus adds power, physicality, and a natural eye for goal to the Avenue front line.

The 31-year-old forward is no stranger to success in the North, boasting multiple double-figure goal-scoring seasons and a reputation for relentless pressing, leadership, and presence in the box. Carver most recently impressed at Southport, where he enjoyed two productive loan spells before signing permanently. He later had a loan spell at Ashton United, until the end of the 2024/25 season.

“We’re absolutely delighted to sign a player of Marcus’ reputation. He’s a proven number nine who not only scores goals but also puts in a tremendous amount of work for the team.

I’ve come up against him many times in the National League North and know just how difficult he is to play against. To be able to bring him to Bradford (Park Avenue) is a massive coup for the club.

As you can imagine, there was a lot of interest in him, and I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make this deal happen. Marcus is fully invested in what we’re building here, and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

Bring on 2025/26 💚

Bradford (Park Avenue) are pleased to confirm that central defender Josh Ashman has returned to the Horsfall ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 21-year-old made a strong impression during the 2024/25 campaign, racking up 35 appearances and contributing three goals in green and white. He formed an effective partnership at the back, working well alongside the likes of Mark Beevers, and now returns for another season under Craig Elliott.

Ashman is no stranger to the Northern Premier League, having spent the 2023/24 season at Guiseley AFC following his release from Sheffield Wednesday, where he captained the Under-21 side. A brief spell with Matlock Town followed in mid-2024, before he re-signed with Avenue in time for pre-season preparations.

Josh began his footballing journey with Sheffield Rangers before progressing through the Qualitas private academy and Sheffield Schoolboys, where he was spotted by Wednesday. Joining the Owls at 14, he developed through the ranks, signed a professional contract, and captained their Under-21 squad prior to moving into senior football.

“Josh is a player who has faced challenges but has shown resilience and determination. His background at Sheffield Wednesday and experience in the Northern Premier League will be invaluable to us. We’re excited to have him back onboard.”
