Bradford (Park Avenue) make another trip to the North East on Tuesday evening, as they take on Morpeth Town at Craik Park (7:45pm kick off), with the fixture marking their fourth consecutive away game in the Northern Premier League East Division.
The Avenue will be looking to extend their record-breaking unbeaten start to the league campaign, having taken their run to 15 games with a 1-1 draw away at Consett AFC on Saturday.
Despite trailing at the interval to an Isaac Walker wonder-goal, a tactical switch to a back four saw Bradford dominate large spells of the second half. Their pressure eventually paid off with 11 minutes remaining, as Marcus Carver fired home a well-taken low finish to draw the visitors level.
The Green Army thought they had snatched all three points in the closing moments when Ben Andreucci found the net, only for celebrations to be cut short by the offside flag.
Following relegation from the Northern Premier League Premier Division last season, Morpeth Town have made an impressive response and, like Bradford, have enjoyed a strong start to the new campaign.
The Highwaymen are currently unbeaten in their last 12 league games and sit third in the table, four points behind the Avenue, having played two games more.
As has been the case in recent weeks, the Avenue will face another side with an impressive home record. Morpeth Town have won six of their eight league fixtures at Craik Park this season and have not tasted defeat on home soil since mid-August.
Their latest success came on Saturday, as the Highwaymen secured a 3-1 victory over Grimsby Borough. Adam Frank Ross Lennox netted twice before an Aaron Singh Chungh strike added a late third to round off the scoring.
Despite competing in different divisions last season, Bradford (Park Avenue) and Morpeth Town did meet in the Isuzu FA Trophy First Round at the Horsfall Community Stadium in October 2025.
Louie Chorlton’s first half opener was cancelled out by a late JJ Hooper equaliser, sending the tie to a penalty shootout. The Avenue ultimately prevailed, securing a 4-2 victory from the spot to book their place in the next round.
However, the Green Army will be hoping for a different outcome when recalling their last visit to Craik Park. Back in January 2024, Bradford looked on course for victory after taking a 30th minute lead through Chinedu Osadebe, but two late goals turned the game on its head. Andrew Johnson drew the hosts level with just five minutes of normal time remaining, before Nic Bollado struck deep into stoppage time to snatch all three points for Morpeth.
Tuesday evening promises to be a difficult encounter to call, with both sides arriving in impressive form and boasting lengthy unbeaten runs. The Avenue will also welcome back the experience of Connor Brown and Jameel Ible, with both players available again following suspension.
There is plenty at stake for Bradford, too, as avoiding defeat would be enough to send them back to the top of the table, with title rivals Dunston not in action until Saturday. A tough test awaits at Craik Park, but the opportunity to move to the summit provides added incentive for the Green Army.
