Club Statement – FA Cup Replays

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

Following yesterdays announcement from the FA regarding FA Cup Replays, the club would like to issue the following statement:

“Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC fully condemns the decision to scrap Emirates FA Cup replays from the 2024/25 season.

The Emirates FA Cup is the greatest cup competition in the world and in our view, to impose this decision devalues it and disrespects all teams that enter into the competition.

It is also illuminating that the FA and the Premier League imposed this decision without consulting any other relevant parties.

We hope that the FA and the Premier League hold meaningful discussions with all impacted clubs from below the Premier League, and we appeal to them to retract their decision.”

INFORMATION FOR SUPPORTERS USING OUR CAR PARK

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

We have now closed the Cemetery Road entrance to our car park, due to the worsening road conditions behind the main stand.

This means that supporters using our car park on Saturday will need to enter through the Park Road entrance.

If you usually use the Cemetery Road entrance, enter from Halifax road,  keep going past the Horsfall down towards Harold Park, turn left on Abb Scott Lane, then take the 1st exit off the roundabout onto Common Road, then left again onto Park Road. The entrance is towards the top of Park Road.

Please note that Park Road itself is a dead end road. When leaving the car park, please turn right and head back down towards Common Road.

Our car park is free to enter, and is on a first-come, first served basis.

BPA X BEAP COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

Staff at Bradford (Park Avenue) met earlier this month with Lukman Miah at BEAP Community Partnership, based at 31 Cornwall Road, BD8 7JN.

Lukman gave us a tour of some of the brilliant new facilities that are being used at the centre, which looks to address high levels of deprivation and disadvantage in the local area.

Commercial Director Calum Cullen had this to say on the visit;

“I recently had the great pleasure of meeting Lukman down at BEAP. The work he and his team are doing in the local and wider community is truly incredible, and I learned an awful lot.

“We are looking at ways for the Club to engage more with the partnership, and I’m looking forward to working with Lukman in the future.

“It was also my pleasure to donate some BPA gear, with footballs & hats for the youngsters, and BPA pens for the staff.”
