AVENUE SIGN CHORLEY STRIKER!

A former Football League player, Blyth comes to us as we look to add firepower into the squad.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to the BPA Development Fund whose donation helped facilitate this deal.
A delighted Mark Bower said on the signing; “Really pleased that Jacob has decided to sign for us. He had other options that would’ve been more convenient and better financially for him. But he is excited about the challenge here and looking forward to scoring some goals.”
Jacob Blyth added; “I am really happy to be joining Bradford (Park Avenue) and cant wait to get going. Having spoken to Bows and Bosh the project here is something that excites me, and I’m looking forward to being with the lads and competing next season.”

Boost The Budget 2022/23
Following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season in which Mark & Danny were able to comfortably maintain our National League North status and with only days to go before we start pre-season, the BPA Development Fund would like to launch the 2022/23 Boost The Budget.
During the 2021/22 season due to the fantastic support of supporters the BPA Development Fund were able to make a significant donation to the club which was used to secure the initial signings Simon Richman, Sam Fielding and Harrison Hooper.
Following conversations with Gareth Roberts and the management team it is no secret the costs of maintaining a competitive team at this level continue to rise. Mark and Danny have done a brilliant job retaining the core of the team from last season and we know they are hard at work looking for new players to come in and strengthen the team.
But with your support and donations we can look to increase the budget and push on from the solid foundations built last season. To kick things off the BPA Development Fund will be paying £2k into the fund.
Donations are to be administered by the BPA Development Fund, with funds being donated to the club when required. Should any funds remain at the end of the season, such funds would be carried forward to the following season.
Donations can be made in the following ways:
Bank Transfer:
BPA Development Fund
Sort Code 05-02-00

Please quote “BTB” as the payment reference
Cheque:

“HIGH HOPES” AS ODUNSTON SIGNS
We are thrilled to announce the re-signing of right-footed Defender Lucas Odunston on a new 1 year contract, with the option for a 2nd.
Lucas first signed in August 2021 after making a big impression on the management during pre-season. He went on to make 27 appearances during the 21/22 season. Odunston previously played for Leeds United u18s and Hull City u23s before joining Avenue.
On the signing, Gaffer Mark Bower said; “I have high hopes for Lucas this coming season following a really strong finish to last season.”
He continued; “He made the right back spot his own following some really impressive displays and the challenge for him now is to continue that progression for a full season.”
Odunston also said; “I’m really glad to still be here for at least another year, Bows and Bosh are top class and have helped me massively in returning to football after two years out with injuries. I’m looking forward to the challenge of it being such a competitive league this year and one that hopefully we can prove ourselves in.”
He went on; “With such a nice bunch of lads and such a committed and welcoming fan base, it’s nice to be a part of a fundamentally great club. On a personal level I’ll be looking to push on at right back and get better and stronger as the season goes on.”

‘Ringo’ Stars For Avenue
We are delighted to announce the re-signing of experienced midfielder Simon Richman on a renewed 1 year contract.
Previously playing at Altrincham FC and with two promotions under his belt, Ringo showed what an asset he is as we staved off any relegation worries with games to spare. Richman scored 2 goals for Avenue in the 21-22 season, and we are all looking forward to seeing him back at the Horsfall.
Discussing the signing, Mark Bower said; “I’m delighted Ringo has committed for another year. He was a key player for us last season and a popular one amongst our supporters for his all energy displays in our midfield. He also scored some vital goals and his experience will be crucial in our young midfield next season.”
Richman also added; “I’m really pleased to have re-signed for BPA. I really enjoyed last season, particularly after having a couple of frustrating seasons with Alty in terms of lack of game time. Bosh and Bows have been great with me and I get on well with all the lads so it was an easy decision in the end. Not to mention the fans have all been very welcoming. “
He continued; “I’m looking forward to the challenge next season as there are a lot of good teams in this league now with a big financial backing and fair amount of them are professional or hybrid.”
