The club are delighted to announce that today, Striker Oli Johnson has signed on for a 5th Year at Avenue.
Originally joining on loan from Guiseley in November of 2016, then signing in 2017, Johnson has been a popular figure under Mark Bower, playing a key role over the last few years as we avoided relegation over the curtailed Covid Seasons and the 2021-22 season.
On the appointment, Mark Bower had this to say; “We are delighted that OJ will continue with us for another season. On his day he is a match winner for us and has versatility across our forward positions. His experience has been a massive influence on our younger players over the past few seasons and many have stated how the enjoy playing with him.”
Oli Johnson also added; “Happy to sign for another season at the club. To continue playing for Bows and Bosh is a big factor in my decision and to be a part of what we’re trying to build. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve as a group this coming season”
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, tomorrows away pre-season match v Campion AFC has been cancelled. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience. Any further updates will be posted ASAP.
We can now announce our fixtures for the upcoming 2022/23 Season.
The season starts and ends with games at home. Kings Lynn Town arrive at the Horsfall on Saturday 6th August, whilst AFC Fylde are the the opponents on the last day of the season Saturday 6th May.
