We wanted to say an huge thank you to all of the fans of Ossett United and Bradford (Park Avenue) for their generosity. We had recently arranged to play Ossett United in a friendly charity match at the Horsfall to raise funds for the Sandale Community Development Trust. They run food banks around the Bradford area and we hope that these generous donations will make a small difference to some families in need at this difficult time.
The fans donated £240 to watch the ill-fated live stream of the match and the club had offered to match this pound for pound. Sadly the miraculous microclimate at the Horsfall put pay to the game with some heavy snow covering the pitch and making it unsafe to play.
As we got so close to our target of £500 the club have decided to round up their donation to make it over the line.
