We’re pleased to confirm a pre-season friendly against local neighbours Thackley AFC on Monday 20 July, with kick-off at 7.30pm.
Craig Elliott’s side make the short trip to the Meridian Stadium at Dennyfield to face Jamie Price’s Dennyboys outfit.
Price is a former Avenue favourite, having been part of the squad that competed in the National League North and assisted Martin Drury, now Huddersfield Town manager, in the dugout, in the same division.
The Dennyboys dramatically survived in the NCEL Premier Division on the final day of the season, with a stoppage-time equaliser against Eccleshill United, who are now Keighley Town.
