Brad Dockerty has today joined Alfreton Town FC.

Brad, who scored 10 goals last season, originally joined the Avenue in the 2019/20 season. In his first season Brad made 13 appearances, scoring twice, a feat he matched in the 2020/21 null and void season, scoring 2 in 12.

All in all Brad made 64 appearances, scoring 14 goals.

It was his form in the 2021/22 season that prompted the club to make Brad an offer, bringing him in line with he clubs highest earners, as we looked to build a strong squad for the 2022/23 season.

Unfortunately, Brad has decided his future lies elsewhere. We thank him for his efforts at Bradford.

Mark Bower had this to say; ‘We are obviously disappointed that Brad has decided to move on, but we are grateful for his efforts and commitment to the club for the past three years.

He has improved enormously over that period and I know he has enjoyed his time with us. We all wish him the best of luck for the future.’

Bring a friend to watch Bradford (Park Avenue) vs Kidderminster for free thanks to the National Lottery

There’s some great news for Bradford (Park Avenue) supporters who play the National Lottery as they have just launched their Football Weekends campaign, which sees them giving away over 100,000 tickets to selected matches during March and April.

Thanks to National Lottery players, millions of pounds in emergency funding was gifted to community football clubs across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when restrictions saw us cancelling games or playing to empty stands.

As a thank you to local football fans up and down the country, the National Lottery are encouraging people to come out and support their local team by offering free tickets to a few select matches.

Bradford (Park Avenue) are pleased to announce that, as part of this campaign, season ticket holders and full-paying adults attending our home game against Kidderminster on Saturday 2nd April will be able to claim a free ticket for a friend (think of it like buy one, get one free!).

Who can claim a free ticket?

  • Bradford (Park Avenue) season ticket holders aged 18 or older who can produce a valid National Lottery ticket or scratchcard
  • Non-season ticket holders who purchase a full-price adult ticket for the Kidderminster game and who can produce a valid National Lottery ticket or scratchcard

How and when can I claim a free ticket?

  • Supporters who meet the criteria above can claim their ticket on the turnstiles using their season ticket / matchday ticket and proof of National Lottery purchase

Which National Lottery tickets are accepted as proof?

  • All National Lottery products apply; draw-based (i.e. Lotto, EuroMillions), scratchcard, or online instant win games
  • The product can be purchased in-store, on the National Lottery website, or via the app
  • Proof of purchase can be shown in physical or digital form – we will need to record the unique code from your product before you can be issued a free ticket

This offer is only valid for full-paying adults (adult ticket price – £14) or adult season ticket holders. Not valid for under 18s or concessions.

Please note: whilst there is no limit to the number of matchday tickets you can buy, each individual can only claim a total of two free tickets.

Our first Help Ukraine collection has been taken by Bradford City! Over 30 bags filled with warm clothes, food, shoes, and essential toiletries all going over to Ukraine and the border countries that are providing shelter for refugees.

Our focus now switches to priority items, like dry or tinned long lasting food, essential toiletries such as soap, dental hygiene and sanitary towels or alternative sanitary products.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time over the last few weeks to drop off any items or clothing. The generosity and kindness that we’ve seen is incredible and we hope to continue providing aid with your help.

If you would like to drop off items, we are in 9-5 all week, and at Saturday’s match v Gloucester City we will also be taking any donations on the day. #UTA #BPAFC

DYLAN SIGNS UNTIL 2023

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

The club are thrilled to complete the signing of ex-City player Dylan Mottley-Henry on a new contract until the end of the 22/23 season.

Mottley-Henry joins the club after a short-term contract saw him make 22 appearances, score 3 goals and countless assists.

On the appointment, Gaffer Mark Bower had this to say: ‘Very pleased, we’re looking forward to Next Year and managing to secure a few players early with Dylan being the most recent.

He’s come in to the club with a fantastic attitude and he’s really one to admire in a match. He’s enjoying his football and wants to play more regularly.

Dylan can definitely be a real asset for us with his pace, strength and enthusiasm and we’re glad to have him tied down for a longer term.’

Dylan himself was equally happy when we spoke with him: ‘I’m delighted to sign a longer deal at the club.

I’m really enjoying my football here and love working with Mark and Danny.

Hopefully over the course of the next 16 months, I can make an impact on the side and help us climb the table.’

Everyone at the club is looking forward to seeing Dylan continue his career in an Avenue shirt.

Integra Insurance Solutions Sponsor BPA Primary Schools Cup Initiative 🏆

posted in: Academy News, News | 0

Over 240 primary school children are set to take part in the inaugural BPA Primary Schools Cup tournament at the Horsfall Community Stadium on 31st March 2022. Interest in the tournament has been extremely high and is now fully subscribed with 10 teams on the waiting list.

The young stars of the future will grace the same pitch used by the current Bradford (Park Avenue) first team. Twenty-four schools from across Bradford will get the opportunity to play at the stadium and experience the state of the art 4g pitch. The inaugural event will become part of the annual plan at Bradford (Park Avenue) as the club aims to enhance its role within the local community.

Academy Technical Director Tom McStravick is responsible for bringing this event together commented “This tournament not only provides children with the opportunity to have a fun day out at the stadium, but it also gives our Academy Scholars the chance to take ownership of a project and gain experience of event planning and organisation. We’re proud of the facilities that we have on offer and hope that we can unearth some of the stars of the future. Who knows we might even see the next Kevin Hector on display.”

Bradford based Integra Insurance Solutions are providing sponsorship for the tournament and welcomed the opportunity to get involved. Managing Director Martin Cox said “Grass roots football is where a love of the sport begins and we’re absolutely delighted to be sponsoring this community based initiative. This will bring children together from all parts of Bradford in what we hope will be the first of many similar tournaments at BPA”.
