WADE THE ONE FOR AVENUE!

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Goalkeeper Brad Wade, who has agreed terms with the Club on an initial 28-day loan move.

Goalkeeper coach Danny King said this on the signing;

“I think it’s a great signing for the Club, Brad has lots of experience in non-league football and brings a great amount of experience into the team, while still being a young and developing talent.

“He’s a very attacking keeper, which should help the team in our transitions and going forward.

“And he’s got a big personality too, so hopefully that will come across well in the dressing room and on the pitch.”

Born in Gloucester Wade was raised in Chorley, Lancashire, and was associated with Manchester United from the age of 10.

After a spell with Blackburn Rovers he joined Rochdale, there he became a product of the club’s youth system and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2018.

This was later extended and he was contracted until the summer of 2022.

The young ‘keeper had been with Rochdale from the age of 15 and played in three FA Youth Cup campaigns.

He was a key member of Dale’s youth team which won the EFL Youth Alliance League North West title in 2017-18. As well as extending his experience at Guiseley he also had a loan spell at Barrow.

On leaving Rochdale he played for Hereford and Southport but ruptured the UCL in his elbow. A proposed move to Irish League Premier Division club St Patrick’s also failed to gain international clearance due to his Non Contract status.

After being released by Hereford in March 2023, he joined Guiseley AFC for the fourth time.

Wade is available for selection in today’s game vs Gainsborough Trinity, stay tuned to our socials for the latest updates.

JODI TIFFANY AGREES DUAL REG TERMS WITH AVENUE AND STEETON!

The Club can today confirm that BPA Academy breakthrough Jodi Tiffany has agreed terms on a dual registration deal, allowing him to play for both Bradford (Park Avenue) and Steeton AFC.

Tiffany started out with Bradford (Park Avenue) Junior’s, coming up through the ranks of the Academy and joining the Scholars at u19s level aged just 16.

He established himself as a regular with the u19s squad, playing in the National Alliance League and doing enough to earn himself a place in the West Riding County Cup, playing for the First Team against Brighouse. They would play out a 1-1 draw, losing out on penalties

Jodi also went out on loan last season, playing at NCEL Premier League side Frickley Athletic.

Tiffany also appeared for the First Team earlier this season against Tadcaster Albion, playing out a 2-5 loss.

The dual registration deal will see Tiffany play under Roy Mason at the Chevrons, and he is also available for selection this Saturday, when Avenue travel to Gainsborough.

Mark and Danny depart the Avenue

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

After long discussions over the last two days and much soul searching by all, we have mutually agreed with Mark and Danny that they will step down from their managerial roles at Bradford (Park Avenue) with immediate effect.

All who have had any involvement with both of these local legends will know what a couple of genuine, dedicated and good people they both are. Over the last 3 seasons they have worked tirelessly  within the frame work of the clubs playing budget and ethos of developing young talent to keep us in the National League North. Sadly circumstances last season meant they couldn’t ever really put out their strongest side enough times to avoid relegation. Despite that disappointment they agreed to take on the challenge to try to bounce straight back up, unfortunately results so far this season haven’t been what anyone involved with the club would’ve wished for, and so during the discussions about how to improve results it was agreed to make a change management of the first team.

In the interim, Luca Havern has agreed to step into the head coach role and will be assisted by Ollie Johnson as we work with all of the stake holders, to define what the new person will do, what any structure will look like to match the clubs short, medium and long term goals. Let’s give Luca and OJ all the support we can.

Martin Knight – ‘I hope that everyone associated with the club, wishes them both the very best in the future, it has been my absolute pleasure to learn from, and work with them both.  I am sure they will soon be back in the dugout, a place they both truly love to be.’
