The Club is pleased to announce Ryan Toulson as the First Team Assistant Manager.
Toulson, 40, was part of Craig Elliott’s coaching staff last season, and following the departure of Danny Ellis due to personal commitments, Toulson has stepped up to the position.
The former right-back enjoyed a successful non-league footballing career, featuring for FC Halifax Town, Harrogate Town, Guiseley AFC, Bradford (Park Avenue), Liversedge FC and Eccleshill United.
Toulson dipped his toes into football management with Eccleshill United (before becoming Keighley Town) and then moved into the dugout at Clayborn with Liversedge FC.
Popular during his time with BPA, Toulson returned to the Horsfall Community Stadium, after being brought in by Craig Elliott, sponsored by Shadow Parvez, as part of his coaching team alongside Ellis and goalkeeper coach Karl Lenaghan, proudly sponsored by Keep ’em out Avenue!
The new assistant manager is pleased to commit his future alongside Elliott in the home dugout:
“I’m absolutely delighted to be returning to the club for another season as Assistant Manager.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club last season, working alongside Craig, Danny, Karl and a fantastic group of lads.
Although we came up just short of our goals, that only adds to the determination within the group. There’s definitely some unfinished business, and we’re all fully focused on putting that right this season.
A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes during the off-season to retain the core of last year’s squad, which was a huge priority for the gaffer. We’re also delighted to have added some exciting new signings who we believe will bring real quality and strengthen an already talented group.
I’m looking forward to working alongside Craig and the rest of the staff once again. I will give everything I can to give the players every opportunity to succeed and, hopefully, bringing plenty of success to everyone connected with the Club.”
