Craig Elliott’s side come into the tie unbeaten in the league and buoyed by a dramatic 1–0 victory away at Blyth Spartans last weekend, sealed by Louie Chorlton’s late goal. With Avenue sitting top of the Northern Premier League East, the focus now shifts to knockout football, where progression in the Trophy is the target.
Visitors Consett will arrive in confident mood after climbing to second place in the league with a 4–0 win over Ashington on Tuesday night. A relentless first-half display saw them race into a three-goal lead, with Isaac Walker scoring twice alongside strikes from Brendon Daniels and Matty Todd. Compact, energetic and clinical, they showed why they are among the early-season frontrunners and will provide Avenue with a stern test.
Hospitality is available for just £15 per head, with special guests Chris Millington and Andy Cooper, part of the FA Trophy-winning management team at FC Halifax Town in 2022/23, sharing their experiences in the suite.
