Rossy Departs

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

Mark Ross will leave the club this summer at the expiry of his contract. He has been an integral part of our team for several seasons and a firm favourite amongst supporters.
Mark has a thriving business which is taking up more of his time and he has decided to step away from football for the time being to focus more on his work.
Assistant manager Danny Boshell said ” Rossy has been a model pro for us in his time at the club and a real Mr reliable.
He’s a tremendous athlete and his level of fitness would put many full time pro’s to shame and has consistently performed for us week in, week out at right back and in the centre of our defence. He will be a big loss.”
Everyone at the club thanks Rossy for his loyalty and service to the Avenue and wishes him the best of luck. He will be welcome back to the Horsfall at any time in the future.

G.O.A.T To Leave BPA

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

Following the end of the 2021/22 season, the club can announce that popular player Nicky Clee will be leaving the club at the expiry of his contract.

The 38 year old joined the club in 2017 and was a key member of the squad that reached the National League North play offs in 2018 and 2019. After a short spell away, Nicky returned to the club and has continued to be a firm fans favourite with his technical ability and wand of a left foot.

Manager Mark Bower said, “Nicky has been a fantastic servant to BPA. Not only has he produced for us on the pitch, he has been a great influence in our dressing room amongst his teammates and in particular our younger players. To still be playing at this level, in his late thirties is a testament to how well he has looked after himself.”

Everyone at the Avenue wishes Nicky all the best and thank him for his commitment to the club and we look forward to seeing him at a game at The Horsfall in the future.

DYLAN SIGNS UNTIL 2023

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

The club are thrilled to complete the signing of ex-City player Dylan Mottley-Henry on a new contract until the end of the 22/23 season.

Mottley-Henry joins the club after a short-term contract saw him make 22 appearances, score 3 goals and countless assists.

On the appointment, Gaffer Mark Bower had this to say: ‘Very pleased, we’re looking forward to Next Year and managing to secure a few players early with Dylan being the most recent.

He’s come in to the club with a fantastic attitude and he’s really one to admire in a match. He’s enjoying his football and wants to play more regularly.

Dylan can definitely be a real asset for us with his pace, strength and enthusiasm and we’re glad to have him tied down for a longer term.’

Dylan himself was equally happy when we spoke with him: ‘I’m delighted to sign a longer deal at the club.

I’m really enjoying my football here and love working with Mark and Danny.

Hopefully over the course of the next 16 months, I can make an impact on the side and help us climb the table.’

Everyone at the club is looking forward to seeing Dylan continue his career in an Avenue shirt.
