Jordan Preston Returns to Bradford (Park Avenue)

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

Bradford (Park Avenue) is delighted to announce the signing of striker Jordan Preston, subject to approval from the Northern Premier League, on a contract until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Preston is a familiar face to the Green Army, having previously enjoyed two successful spells with the club. Last season, he made 42 appearances, scoring 9 goals before moving to FC United of Manchester in the summer. At FC United, Preston featured prominently, making 30 appearances and netting 4 goals this season.

Preston first joined Bradford (Park Avenue) on loan in November 2022 from Spennymoor Town. During that spell, he scored 4 goals in 12 appearances, quickly becoming a key figure for the club.

Jordan’s professional journey began with Blackburn Rovers, where he progressed through the U18 and U21 ranks. He gained further recognition during a loan spell at Ayr United, playing an instrumental role in their 2015/16 promotion campaign and scoring in the decisive penalty shootout during the play-off finals. His career has since included spells with Guiseley, FC Halifax Town, Gateshead, and Boston United, adding a wealth of experience to his game.

Speaking on the signing, manager Craig Elliott said:
“I’m really happy to get Jordan on board. He’s a player I worked with before at Boston United. He can play three or four different positions, and I know exactly what qualities he will bring. We’ve been needing more quality in the final third, and Jordan will give us that with assists and goals.”

Welcome back to the Green Army Jordan!

Craig Ellison Departs Avenue for Congleton Town

posted in: First Team News, News | 0

Bradford (Park Avenue) can confirm that goalkeeper Craig Ellison has departed the club through mutual consent to join Congleton Town.

Ellison, affectionately known as “Ello,” made 11 appearances this season, adding to his four appearances during the previous campaign.

Reflecting on his time at the club, Craig shared the following message with supporters:

“It’s been a pleasure! Thank you to the fans for all the support over the two seasons. Frustrated not to have featured as much as I’d like recently due to injury, but that’s football as a veteran. Hopefully, the lads secure promotion and get the club back where it deserves to be!”

We thank Craig for his contributions on and off the pitch during his time at Horsfall Community Stadium and wish him all the best at Congleton Town.
